From Old England to New England...
In conjunction with Trojan Motorcycles and Bike Tours UK we'd like to offer you good people a trip of a lifetime without breaking the bank. We have 4 Harley Davidson 1200s based just north of Boston Massachusetts in the USA. We put together 1 week (or longer) guided motorcycle trips around the New England States.
We try to keep the costs as low as possible to make this opportunity available to all, who want to experience the joy and freedom of riding motorcycles in the USA, witout helemets in one state, if you wish. The plan is flexible, but the basic itinerary is;
- A maximum of 4 riders fly into Boston on a Saturday. We would not recommend travelling with a passenger on these bikes, with luggage, unless another rider can take a lot of your kit.
- 6 days riding through Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont and Maine and beyond if time allows, following a pre planned route taking in the best of what New England USA has to offer.
- Back home on the following Saturday.
This can be extended to 10 or 14 days if you really want to get deep into rural North America. We try to avoid Interstates, so the trip is 99% highways and byways riding. Accommodation is in quality hotels and motels based on your budget, or camping if you really want to keep costs down.
The trip is 100% flexible and can be adapted to any location or route you wish to take. Feel free to plan your own ideas and contact us with the details, we will try to accommodate your ideas.
This is also not a pedal to the metal trip, we want you to enjoy the riding and savour the moments, not come home with blisters on your arse and memory bank of blurred images. good breakfasts, tasty lunches and and stop offs along the route will be the order of the day. with good food and drinks in the evenings and 150 miles or so under your belt at the most.
the proposed route.
From North Boston we would head west on highways and byways to New York state and Lake George, home of the Americade Bike Rally in early June, travelling through southern New Hampshire and Vermont. From there head north to Lake Placid in the heart of the Adirondack mountains and maybe take the ferry across Lake Champlain into Vermont and spend a night in Burlington.
Entering New Hampshire, we head east over the White Mountains and through North Woodstock on the Kancamagus Highway.
Stopping for a night or two in North Conway, on the border of New Hampshire and Maine. This will give us time to explore the White Mountains, Mt Washington Auto Road, head north up to Dixville Notch and into Quebec if time allows.
From North Conway, we head south-east through southern Maine to the Atlantic coast and Bentley's Saloon for lobster and well earned beers. The final day spent riding leisurely back to North Boston.
Of course all of this is optional. If you want to plan your own route, feel free to get in touch. One of our team will always be travelling with you.
